Jackpot Show & Goat Roping Event to Benefit Jacob and Lauren Lange: The Graham FFA Boosters have provided Graham ISD an opportunity to support Jacob and Lauren Lange and baby Jarett.  Jarett was born @ 26 weeks on August 3rd and has been in NICU since.  Mrs. Lange spent several weeks hospitalized as well, and she is still in Lubbock with Baby Jarett.  Jacob has been burning up the road between hospital visits, teaching class, buying pigs, and all the other duties associated with teaching FFA!

October 27, there will be a Jackpot Show & Goat Roping at the YOUNG Co Arena to benefit the Lange Family.  Graham ISD has the opportunity to work the concession stand for this event and all proceeds will go to the family to cover expenses.

If you would like to donate your time and service to support this family, then please complete the form below.  Joe Gordy will use this information to build volunteer sign-ups in Parent Square to send to the volunteers so that you may sign up for a specific time and with a specific group.  Thank you!

Breast Cancer… What Everyone Should Know

FACTS AND STATISTICS FROM SUSAN G KOMEN

If you’re just beginning your search for information on breast cancer, you’ve come to the right place.

Many changes occur in your breasts during your lifetime. Throughout puberty, pregnancy and menopause, the look, structure (anatomy) and function of your breasts change.

Learning about breast anatomy and how the breasts function can help you understand which changes are normal and which are not.

This section is a good first step to find out about breast cancer and benign (not cancer) breast conditions. It also includes information on breast cancer in men and breast cancer statistics for many populations.
Explore these topics and much more using the menu on the left or through the links below.
DID YOU KNOW?

In 2018, it's estimated that among U.S. women and men there will be*:

Women
266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer
40,920 breast cancer deaths

Men
2,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer
480 breast cancer deaths

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer occurs when cells divide and grow without their normal control.

Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) occurs when the abnormal cells grow inside the milk ducts, but have not spread to nearby tissue. DCIS is a non-invasive breast cancer.

Invasive breast cancer occurs when cancer cells spread to nearby tissue or other parts of the body.

Invasive breast cancer that spreads to other parts of the body is called metastatic breast cancer.
