The Charles Schulz Philosophy

Good Morning and Happy Pre Spring Break Friday!  The word SPRING BREAK just makes you smile!

Praise & Celebration- Winner Winner Chicken Dinner- Members of our GISD Family are receiving Readers Choice Awards via The Graham Leader. From GJHS: Elsie Posern (Best Teacher), Shannon Weaver (Best Coach) and Christie Brewster (Best Secretary). CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!  Additionally, Graham High School Principal , Joe Gordy,  has been named Best Principal.

Full-Day Prekindergarten- The Board of Trustees has approved us expanding our current half-day program to a full-day program beginning this coming school year. I have no doubt this will allow us to better serve this group of students and to better serve our community.  As we transition to this model, we will experience challenges and need to develop new processes.  I am confident we are up to the opportunity!

Regional Qualifiers Girls Powerlifting- Last weekend Rachel McGregor, Laren Rogers, Codie Fields, Ali Dragoo, Sydney Smith, Catlin Lewis, Annie Slavings and Breanna Noria competed in the Regional Powerlifting meet.  Sydney Smith finished in 3rd Place.

Regional Qualifiers Boys Powerlifting- Good Luck to Carlos Fuentes, Jahlian Tate, Dallas Elmore, Tristan Wilson, Geo Miranda, Joel Jones, David Palacios, Alfonso Duran and Matt Beale who will be competing in the Regional Powerlifting meet this weekend in Chico.

Congrats to the Graham Steer golf team! They won the Graham Tournament this past Monday and swept the Medalist positions.  Baxter Loesch- 1st Medalist, Kolton Carmichael- 2nd Medalist & Coby Bryant- 3rd Medalist.

The Charles Schulz Philosophy

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.

Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

4 Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.

These are no second-rate achievers.

They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies..

Awards tarnish..

Achievements are forgotten.

Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson:  The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money...or the most awards.

They simply are the ones who care the most!

I hope you have a blessed day!
