Coach Irby and Coach Jim Bob Williams would like to invite all of our elementary students and staff to the district softball and baseball game vs the Hirschie Huskies this evening. All elementary students and staff that are present are requested to join the teams on the field for the National Anthem prior to the games.  Everyone will be lined up on the foul line along with the Lady Blues and Graham Steers. Also, the booster club will be offering dollar hot dogs for all elementary students and staff! The Lady Blues game will begin at approximately 6:00 and the Graham Steer Game will begin at approximately 7:30. We look forward to see everyone at the ballpark!

Graham Steer and Lady Blues Tennis Update! Marcus Montfort and Sabryna Adrianson had another great tournament taking 3rd place out of a 32 team field. They had impressive wins over Denton High, Abilene High and Aledo. They currently hold a record of 39-4. Nick Stevens and Will Reger had a nice tournament as well, with wins over Fort Worth Brewer and Birdville. Emily Rice and Adri Ustick did a great job getting 13th out of a 32 team draw. They had wins against Fort Worth Brewer and Sherman. The entire team did a fantastic job representing Graham High School. Despite being one of the smallest schools in the tournament, we were very competitive in every match and finished in 11th place. Today, Graham Tennis will be competing in their biggest tournament of the year in Abilene.  This 2-Day tournament will include teams from DFW, Central and West Texas. Next Tuesday and Wednesday the Steer and Lady Blues will be competing at the District Tournament being held in Wichita Falls.  Great job and best of luck!

TOY GLOBE LESSON

A father brought home a children’s toy globe of the earth for his young son. The boy was fascinated by it and spent the entire evening excitedly talking to his father about continents and oceans, the North Pole/South Pole, and all the rest. When it was bedtime, and as the youngster was settling under the covers, the father picked up the globe and began tip-toeing out of the bedroom. The little boy, not quite asleep, saw what was happening and whispered to his father, "What are you going to do with my world?"

The unspoken question from every child to each one of us is: "What are you going to do with my world?" As educators, I hope we are doing everything we can to empower them to make it better!
