I've Learned

The Graham Steers baseball team opens district play on Friday night vs. the Burkburnett Bulldogs and would like to show our appreciation to the wonderful teachers we have in our district by honoring them during the game, as well as giving away some goodies. We will have drawings each half inning for free dipped Dairy Queen ice cream cones, and will draw for a $25 Brothers gift card during the 7th inning. Teachers can sign up as they enter the game at the gate, but must be present when their name is drawn to win.
The Steers will begin at approximately 7:30!

I’ve Learned...

that the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

that a kindness done is never lost.  It may take a while, but like a suitcase on a luggage carousel, it will return again.

that when you're in love, it shows.

that if you hang something in the closet for a while, it shrinks two sizes.

that just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.

that I feel better about myself when I make others feel better about themselves.

that having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

that what we have done for ourselves alone dies with us. What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.

that people will remember you as being a great conversationalist if you mostly listen.

that one sincere apology is worth more than all the roses money can buy.

that words harshly spoken are as difficult to retrieve as feathers in a gale.

that being kind is more important than being right.

that I need to let my friends comfort me and hold me up, to let them know I need support, that I'm not always as strong as I look or act.

that when I'm waiting to see my doctor, I always wish I had stuck to my diet.

that you should never say no to a gift from a child.

Have a nice day and keep learning!
