"At The Crossroads"

He stood at the crossroads all alone
The sunlight in his face
He had no fear for the path unknown
He was set for a manly race
But the road stretched east and the road stretched west
There was no one to tell him which road was best;
So he took the wrong road and it led him down,
Til he lost the race and the victor's crown,
He fell at last in an ugly snare
Because no one stood at the crossroads there.

Another boy on another day
At the selfsame crossroads stood
He paused a moment to choose the way
That would lead to the greater good,
And the road stretched east and the road stretched west
And ONE was there to show him best
So he turned right and went on and on
And he won the race and the victor's crown
He walks today the highway fair
Because ONE stood at the crossroads there.

Thanks to individuals who have been at many of my crossroads and the crossroads of so many countless others.  It often appears that our society has become more sinister and less caring.  My personal and professional life has benefited by countless people who seemed to appear in my life at the right time and for the right reason.  I feel it is true that the absence of a caring individual in your life when critical decisions are made is tragic.  As we move forward in 2019, this may be a good time to appreciate the individuals who helped us at our crossroads.  It may also be a great time for us to renew our commitment to stand solidly at the crossroads for others.

Have a nice day....unless you have already made other plans.

CORNY JOKE OF THE DAY:
