You May Think...

You may think that you are completely insignificant in this world.  But someone drinks coffee from their favorite cup that you gave them.  Someone heard a song on the radio that reminded them of you.  Someone read the book that you recommended and plunged headfirst into it.  Someone smiled after a hard day’s work because they remembered the joke that you told them today.  Someone loves themselves a little bit more because you gave them a compliment.  Never think that you have no influence whatsoever.  Your trace, which you leave behind with every good deed, cannot be erased.

Have a nice day…take care of yourself and others!

Steer Nation Message 4-1-21 - One

Happy Thursday!

No School Tomorrow- Good Friday, April 2nd.

Remote Instruction 2021-2022- A little over a year ago our team adjusted to flip our traditional model of schooling and how we serve our students and families during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.  In August of this year, we reflected on our experience from last spring, honed new skills, and rolled out a combination of in-person and remote instruction to meet our students' needs. Without a doubt, this has not been easy. It has required daily... hourly.... minute by minute adjustments by all of our team members. To simply say that I am proud to be associated with such an amazing team is an understatement. Daily, I am in awe of what you have been able to accomplish in the midst of so much uncertainty.
In case you are wondering about our plans regarding remote instruction for the coming school year, unless we are thrown back into a pandemic situation, the best place for our students to learn is in your classroom.  Therefore, we are planning for a full return to an in-person instructional model for the 2021-2022 school year.

Should we have isolated cases of COVID I believe we can serve those students just as we have served students in the past who experienced illness, etc. with the primary difference being that we are now more equipped to provide them with technology and wireless access while they are out of school.

One...
One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.

One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal.

One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room.
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.

One step must start each journey,
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.

One voice can speak with wisdom.
One heart can know what's true.
One life can make the difference,
you see it's up to You!

Don't ever forget how very Important You Are!!!

Have a nice day and a “Wonederful” Easter Weekend!

A Pound of Butter...

There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to a baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting the right

amount, which he wasn’t. Angry about this, he took the farmer to court. The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure to weigh the butter. The farmer replied, “Honor, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.”

The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?”

The farmer replied, “Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.”

The moral of the story- In life, sometimes you get what you give!

Have a great Spring Break!

Start With Yourself...

The following words were written on the tomb of an Anglican Bishop in the Crypts of Westminster Abbey:

When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser,

I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country.

But it, too, seemed immovable.

As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas,

they would have none of it.

And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my

family.

From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even

changed the world.

Take care of yourself and others!
