Struggles vs Blessings…

Grandpa gave each of his two grandkids a rock and a lollipop. AND had them walk down the road and back with the rock in their shoe and the lollipop in their mouth. You should’ve heard the grumbling.

They couldn’t walk normally because the rock was so uncomfortable. They were limping and staggering just trying to get back to their grandpa.  When they came back inside, and grandpa asked them what it was like for them to walk around like that. The answers varied but most talked about how hard it was to walk around with the rock in their shoe. Nobody mentioned how sweet the lollipop was in their mouth.

We often fail to realize blessings. Even though we may have many “lollipops,” we tend to focus on the “rocks” in our shoes. We put too much focus on the struggles of life!

Please take a brief moment this morning to reflect on the sweet lollipops in your life!!!

Have a nice day...take care of yourself and others!
